Qing Hao has been used for thousands of years in China. This plant led to the development of the synthetic drug, Artemisinin, and Professor Youyou Tu received the Nobel Prize in medicine for this research

There are studies suggesting that dried leaf extracts of Qing Hao may even outperform the single molecule of artemisinin when taken orally due to the effects of the other compounds. Nokomis extracts are often more potent than other extracts made with industrially-farmed Qing Hao. Our dried Qing Hao extract is also more potent than fresh root extracts since fresh roots are about 70% water. Higher potency means more value and more benefit with each dropperful.

Broad-spectrum cold-pressed liquid extracts contain the broadest-based molecular profile of therapeutic compounds in the plants, including essential oils and other volatile compounds. Powdered extract products and capsules often strip away important compounds through heat-processing.
